Errand-Approved Ensembles

*Our guest blogger The Candid Commentator loves great fashion on a budget. Naturally, blogging for us was a great fit. Here she shares some of her favorite on-the-go pieces. *

As much as my wardrobe can differ with the changing seasons, there’s something that never changes – life.  Whether it’s heading to work or heading to the post office, there’s always something that needs to be done – no matter if it’s snowing or raining! Running errands is a year-long activity that just never quits.

When you’re on a mission for groceries or stamps, it doesn’t mean you have to stray from your signature style.

Victoria’s Secret is one my favorite shops for lounge- and errand-wear.  This velour pant and jacket set is the epitome of spring comfort.  The best part – both are on sale for $29 apiece!

For a sexier, more polished look, I like VS’s Eva Fit patch pocket pant ($50).  Matched with the innocently sexy ruffle-front tank ($58.50), this outfit can easily go from daytime errands to nighttime fun.

Magazines, mail, your cell phone, sunglasses…where to put it all? J. Crew’s canvas Boardwalk city tote has the style and capability to hold everything you need.  It’s a steal for $68.00 and available in four different colors.  I’m planning to add ‘weathered stone’ to my bag collection!

Want something a little flashier?  Look no further than Marc by Marc Jacobs Tote-ally Posh Tote!  Not only is it gorgeous, it’s tres functional with double shoulder straps to carry the weight, lots of pockets, and a safe turn-lock closure.  All the bang for not so much buck – $228.00 – especially since it’s Marc Jacobs!

My favorite place for “comfort clothes” shopping?  Online, of course!  The best thing about the internet mall is that there are many, many ‘online-only’ sales so catch ’em while you can. Remember, the best everyday clothes are the ones that are comfortable and still make you feel like YOU – whatever your style may be.
