As a Brit, I have to say, our fash is pretty on-point. We're an eclectic bunch and there are A LOT of different "types" of looks right now. However, in general these are 5 pretty stead-fast rules, I think we live by. (Just for fun).
We love that "it's my boyfriends" vibe. When it comes to denim, this couldn't be more true. I love both of these jackets and their exaggerated silhouettes.
There's just something about a ruffle, right? Well, anyway, we love them. Shirts, dresses, skirts, it's all about extra ruffly details, especially in the summer. This is how I'd style these picks:
Shirt - Leather mini and booties.
One-shoulder dress - Barely there heels and tassel earrings.
Mini dress - Low-heeled mules.
Sweater - White jeans, wedges.
Ruffles and high necks, yes. However, we're style it with ripped-to-shreds jeans and trainers. Juxtaposition styling at its best.
If you think you've seen all of these handbags before, you're right and I bet it was on a Brit blogger. Zero shade here, but us Brits love to hop on board a handbag trend band wagon quick snap. Chloé is hot right now on everyones trend radars and I get why, these 3 styles are all unreal.
White shirts can be styled with *literally* anything and we love them. Dressed up with tailored trousers and sharp jewellery or down with cropped denim and slides; we're doing it. I like these 3 picks because they're white shirts, but they've all got a little twist to give them a difference.
God love us, we love to be comfy. Whether we're wearing track pants and 3 day hair or a stunning floral maxi and a full face of make-up, you bet your a$$ we're wearing sneakers. The hottest style on the Brit radar right now are "dad trainers"; the chunkier and "uglier" the better. I don't know how much I love this trend in general BUT I'm really into these McQueens, which are chunky but still chic AF.
