As a freelance fashion writer, I spend lots of time working from my home office. However, I love to do a real workwear look when I attend meetings or daytime events. Summer workwear is much more fun... these are my current go-to looks.
I love this look. Pastel cigarette pants are really on-trend, but I love to wear them in a business setting with a long-line, tunic style shirt or top. This Ann Taylor top is particularly flattering and I love the side splits.
I'm obsessed with adding a pastel shoe to the look and these lilac Nine West pumps are a steal.
If I opt for a dress for a meeting, I would always choose a longer length. I'm more than happy to wear black throughout the summer and I love this classic wrap dress from Revolve. I'd pair it with these AMA-ZING booties to keep it slightly dressier than styling it with sandals and I'd switch out the built-in belt for a dressier leather belt.
You can to experiment a bit more and wear looser-fit clothing, which, let's be honest, is so much more comfy. Who said workwear has to be strict!?
Midi & Shirt
My midi skirt collection is getting a battering now that the weathers warmed up, so I'm always on the hunt for a new one. I love this DVF asymmetrical one that incorporates office stripes with an edgy twist. I'd pair it with a crisp shirt and simple mules for a chic, monochrome vibe.
