I like to play around with fashion a lot but there are times when you just gotta be serious for a sec. This would be my "take me seriously" meeting outfit. Stylish? Tick. But serious and mature, also tick, tick.
This blazer is legit EVERYTHING. I had to start with this for this look because every "take me seriously" look has to incorporate a blazer but the colour and velvet fabric of this is just OMG.
These are so cool, exude confidence and are super-professional for any "take me seriously" meeting. You could layer with a simple white tee, but just incase the weather heats up and you need to remove your jacket, I'd pair this look with a super-stylish long-sleeved silk top. This adds a little sleeve detailing but remains simple underneath the blazer.
I think the shoe in this scenario needs to be a classic. However, these beauts take a classic shape and add a little somethin-somethin. The would look so fierce peeping out of these wide-leg trousers.
I love this one's multi-fabric use, which adds texture for a little extra interest and also teams nicely with the texture of the blazer.
I don't always agree with that phrase, but in this case the accessories are best kept simple. I don't want to blind my business associate with my "bling"! I think a classic silver watch and simple, yet on-trend silver hoops are all this look needs.
As a freelance fashion writer, I don't have to hit the office day in, day out. Therefore, when I have a meeting, I like to get dressed up in my "take me seriously" looks and this is one of my current faves.
