I'm carefully selective when it comes to embroidered pieces. I'm not super girly, nor would I describe my style as anything near boho. However, there is something casually cool about the embroidered detail on things that are hitting the stores at the mo. Here are a few of the things I've got my beady eyes on...
I love this Madewell denim combo. The embroidery here is tiny and discreet which instantly drew me in and I love the idea of wearing this together with a simple white top and these beaut espadrille style mules.
This jumpsuit just HAS to come on holiday with me. Isn't it amazing? I love the semi-sheer detail and paired with a coloured statement necklace and handbag it could just as easily be worn at a fancy dinner as a casual beach stroll.
Don't you find you can never have too many floaty, casual tops in the summer months? I want all of these to wear with ripped up boyfriend jeans and Birkenstocks.
The dress version of the above top is just amaaaazing. I love the shape, the embroidered cinch-waist detail and the flirty ruffle hemline. I'd do an all white look here with MK white wedges. Instead of a plain white bag, I feel like I want to style it with something a bit more out there. I LOVE this Betsey Johnson nautical AF bag and now it has made its way onto my bag wish list too!
If you're not ultra-girly, like me, I think we can still rock the trend but keep it minimal and modern so you don't verge too far into "hippy-chic". Plus, it's just such a summer staple, I don't want to miss out!!
This Free People Dress
I love the colour and fabric of this dress. I'm unashamedly an "always choose black" kind of girl, but because the gives me a denim feel I would definitely still wear it.
