Why HELMUT LANG is still my favorite brand
Helmut Lang has, + always will, have a special place in my heart. I discovered the brand in the late 90's when it was still being run by Lang. All I knew was that I liked it because it was minimal, yet high impact. And it was elegant. No fuss. Sexy. I was young and all I wanted was a "plain" top or dress. Helmut Lang fulfilled those needs for me when everyone else was shopping for who knows what.
Helmut has since left his eponymous label, however last year there were some re-editions. Since 2017 the line has been trying to backtrack towards its roots, however the label always stayed true to the minimalistic theme.
REGARDLESS Helmut Lang is COOL AGAIN, one can argue that it was never "not cool" and I have always remained loyal to the brand because of it's minimalness and simplicity, despite Helmut not being in the picture.
I love these w. high-waisted black denim
Either a skirt or a pant. Could also be a leather or faux leather- the bottoms just need to be BLACK.
Add a sky high stiletto.

The longer sleeve length, the oversized fit, these are classics gone cool.
I would take the above 2 knot tops and pair them with these denims
Helmut Lang's denim pieces are NOT to be missed. These are COOL.
Along w. the KNOTTY tops, I'd wear these jeans w. either simple open-toe heeled strapped sandals or booties.
I love how you can buy many items from the line and mix and match them. Their simplicity allows you to do that, while the brand's avant gard-ness keeps things interesting, and you never feel like you're bored of the clothes.

Of course Helmut Lang makes other, more "classic" dresses, but I especially like these. . .

- freaking LOVE this. wear w. sneakers or any other shoe that you desire
- ruched, messy, bunchy, shiny it's on purpose + i love it. i'd wear pointed toe heeled pumps or black ankle wraps
