How To Wear Socks With Sandals
Whether you're rocking a sandal from Valentino's 'rockstud' collection OR if you're in double-buckle Birkenstocks, one thing is for sure— don't be afraid to pair your open-toe shoes with a sock.

So, as you may have already guessed, we're aiming to pair our Birkenstocks with socks. (say that 3x times fast)
Birkenstock's cork sandals made a comeback in 2018 and they are still luring in 2019's fashion freaks. Even more unexpected than the Birkenstock's return is the fact that trendsetters are pairing theirs with socks.
Personally, we're pairing ours with either straight/skinny denim and a vintage tee blazer combo or with a black pantsuit vibe. (crazy we know). And for the socks? With Birkenstocks, and flats in general, you can choose a thicker sock than you would with a heel.

Fancy Flat Sandals With Socks
Like we said, we're really vibing on this trend right now, even if we get stares.
Heck, we're even wearing socks with our absolute dressiest sandals, but, we're using a much thinner, more expensive sock. The cheap-o ones won't really cut it here.
We're wearing these Suecomma Bonnie embellished slides with soft thin black ankle socks and a simple, but possibly edgy, black dress.
Socks With Heels
We recently wrote a piece on The Best Open Toe Booties of 2019 and it's safe to assume that fashion socks can be worn with each bootie mentioned.
Black is universally chic, so a black sock is never a bad idea, and if you want to spice things up a bit you could do a bright colored sock with these Alexander Wang strappy sandals.
Another great sock and sandal combo are Stuart Weitzman's nudistsong sandals with Wolford's bright green fishnet socks. Wolford never ceases to amaze us with its fashion-forwardness.
These bright socks also work wonders with a plain white sneaker.
