Official Rules – Apple iPad Giveaway

  • The special Apple iPad giveaway will last for a limited time duration: April 6 - 9, 2010 (ending at 11:59pm on April 9). Entrants must be actively subscribed to Shop It To Me as of April 9, 2010 to be considered valid. The winner of the gift card will be selected from a random drawing held on April 16, 2010.
  • Valid sign ups only: There is a limit of 1000 friends that a user can invite to join Shop It To Me. In order for a friend to count as referred, he or she must be invited to and register for the Shop It To Me free service between April 6, 2010 and April 9, 2010. For each friend that registers using the "tell a friend" link provided by the entrant, confirms their email address between April 6, 2010 and April 9, 2010, and is an active subscriber on the drawing date of April 16, 2010, the entrant will receive one additional entry into the drawing. There is also a limit of 1000 friends that can be counted as entries.
  • "Tell A Friend" method of entry: Valid sign ups only. There is a limit of 1000 friends that a user can invite to join Shop It To Me. In order for a friend to count as referred, he or she must be invited to and register for the Shop It To Me free service between April 6, 2010 and April 9, 2010. For each friend that registers using the promotion-specific "tell a friend" link provided by the entrant, confirms their email address between April 6, 2010 and April 9, 2010, and is an active subscriber on the drawing date of April 16, 2010, the entrant will receive one additional entry into the drawing. There is also a limit of 1000 friends that can be counted as entries.
  • Twitter method of entry: Each day between April 6, 2010 and April 9, 2010, an entrant can tweet "@ShopItToMe launched in the UK. Win an Apple iPad! http://bit.ly/cVq2DL" for one additional entry to the random drawing. There is a limit of one tweet per person per day, for a total limit of 4 Twitter entries per person.
  • No fake submissions or SPAM: Shop It To Me has, at its discretion, the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or any entry where referrals are acquired in a "dubious manner" or are not considered to be real. A "dubious manner" includes but is not limited to the following:
    • Sending unsolicited emails to strangers or people you do not know. Any SPAM complaints will result in immediate disqualification and removal from the Shop It To Me service.
    • Using temporary, fake, or unused email addresses as "referred" friends.
    • Using any email account which is less than 20 days old.
    • Using the phrase "shop it to me" or any variant in any type of paid or search advertising.
    • Having the same individual sign up multiple times with different email addresses.
    • Having the same individual enter multiple times with different Twitter accounts.
  • Random draw and prize: Within 30 days of the conclusion of this Sweepstakes on April 9, 2010, a random draw will take place in which one (1) winner from all eligible Shop It To Me users will be selected to win one (1) grand prize Apple iPad (value $499.00). Winner will be notified via email. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during the applicable Entry Period. No purchase necessary to enter or to win. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning.
  • Alternative method of entry: To enter via US mail, mail a postcard with your name and address to: Shop It To Me, Inc. 221 Pine St. Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA. All mail-in entries must be postmarked between April 6, 2010 and April 9, 2010 and received by April 16, 2010. Each postcard must be mailed separately. Photocopied, illegible or mechanically reproduced entries are not eligible. All entries and requests become Sponsor's property and will not be returned or acknowledged. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, misdirected or postage due mail/entries.
  • Entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges are final in all respects. The winner will be notified by email and required to reply within 7 days following attempted notification. Failure to comply within this time period will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. Only three (3) alternate drawings will be held for each prize, after which the prize will remain un-awarded. Prizes will be fulfilled within 28 days after winner confirmation.
  • For the names of the winners (available after 5/21/10) send a self-addressed stamped envelope by 5/28/10 to: Shop It To Me, Inc. 221 Pine St. Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA.
  • US residents only. This promotion is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and Washington, D.C., who are 18 years of age or older as of April 12, 2010. Void outside the 50 United States and D.C., and where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local income taxes on prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  • Shop It To Me is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the publication of the promotion, administration of the promotion or in the announcement of the winners.
  • By participating, winner releases Shop It To Me and its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, agents, and employees, from any and all liability with respect to all aspects of the promotion and/or use of any prize. Winner further agrees to the use of his/her name, and city and state of residence for purposes of providing a list of winners to the public on request and for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
  • Shop It To Me reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, modify or suspend this promotion, should fraud, virus, bugs or other causes beyond the control of Shop It To Me corrupt the administration of the promotion.
  • By participating in the Sweepstakes, you (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of the Sponsor and the independent judging organization, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from any sweepstakes they sponsor any person they believe have intentionally violated these Official Rules; and (ii) withdraw the online method of entry if it becomes technically corrupted, (including if a computer virus or system malfunction inalterably impairs its ability to conduct the Sweepstakes), and to select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to withdrawal.
  • Shop It To Me is not responsible for computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures or delays in computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature.
  • Employees of Shop It To Me Inc. and their families are not eligible to participate.
